Much good conservation work has gone into identifying corridors of natural habitats winding across landscapes to higher, cooler latitudes that, if protected, will help species move to new regions with more favourable conditions as climates change. If these corridors are adequately protected, a few wide-ranging species will benefit and a respectable amount of good wildlands will have been protected.
